Rotary SoftPot - Touch Sensitive Potentiometers

This ring-shaped SoftPot is a touch sensitive potentiometer.  They are a great way to add finger slide sensing and touch detection to your projects.  These are designed and made by Spectra Symbol, a leading sensor manufacturer in tactile interaction sensors.

This Rotary SoftPot was used in the hugely popular iPods in the early 2000s, to allow users to slide their finger around the ring and tap the ring to interact with the device.
