Micro Switch or Limit Swtich

Micro switches are often found in coin operated machines, and are a lovely addition to a project. These work the same way as a limit switch: when the lever is pushed, it pushes a button which opens or closes the circuit.

The micro switch comes with three pins: NC (normally closed, circuit is closed when the lever is not pressed), NO (normally open, circuit is open when the lever is not pressed) and Common.

The roller at the end of the switch minimizes rubbing friction between the leg of the switch and a surface.
